At the Start Screen press Left, Up, B, Up, Down, Up, Right, C

Whirlwind Option Code

At the team match-up screen rotate your joystick in a clockwise 360
motion untill the game begins. You will now have the whirlwind option for
the entire game. The trick does not work in tournament mode though.
