Tyrian General Hints
====================

All numbers used are NOT on he number pad but above the alphabets.
1.) To become invincible: Press F2 + F3 + F4 simultaneously. This does not
work on version 1.0
2.) To skip to the next level: hold down the F2 key and press F6 + F7
simultaneously. Works on both versions.
3.) To recharge armor and sidekicks: During game play, hold down the "caps
lock" key and press any number. With this trick, you can have infinite
Plasma Storms. TIP: Get something to hold down the caps lock key, then all
you have to do is press a number every time your sidekicks run low. do not
hold down the number though. Use the mouse to control the ships instead of
the directional pad, that way you can go through some things like the
bumpers on Minemaze. This does not work for two player mode.
4.) To go from Super Arcade mode to Full Game: Start a S.A.(Super Arcade)
game as normal. Get the desired weapon and keep playing until you get to a
level where you can die and restart on that same level(Deliani, Savara,
Asteroid, etc...), but not on Tyrian. Do not die yet. Once there, press the
number 2 key, and DO NOT SHOOT. It'll dump you back into DOS depending on
the ship you have(Nortshipz, Carrot....). You will see that your generator
bar is refilling up, but it's yellow instead of red. This indicates that
the trick has worked. Now die. Press start when it says "game over". You
will then be brought to the options screen. Here the game will either dump
you back into DOS or let you continue. If it dumps you back into DOS, try
this trick on a different level. If it does not, you will have EVERYTHING
you had on S.A. mode, ships and weapons. You can now upgrade your weapons
to the max. This trick ONLY works on version 1.0!!!
5.) To go back into S.A. from F.G.(Full Game): You MUST perform the above
trick in order to do this one. Just repeat the process again on any level.
OR you can start a level and immediately hit the escape button. Go to the
MAIN menu and load the "LAST LEVEL". And you should be back in S.A. mode.
This only works on version 1.0
6.) To get S.A. ships on F.G. mode: At the MAIN menu, type in the S.A. name
you want and then hit the escape button to go back into the MAIN menu. Now
start a new full game. Once at the options screen, do not buy the new ship
that is available, you already have the S.A. ship. However, you cannot buy
the ship's weapons and you do not have the ship's special weapon in the
upper left hand corner. This works on both versions. TIP: Use the million
credit trick and power up your ship. Now start a level(Tyrian) and then hit
the escapoe button. Go back to the MAIN menu and load the "LAST LEVEL" to
go back to the S.A. mode with the F.G. weapons! Here you can get the weapon
orbs to change weapons at the current power level you were on. But you
cannot change back to the F.G. weapons. However, if you are using version
1.0, then you can use trick number 4 above. There is no way to go back if
you are using version 1.1, even if you saved on F.G. mode!
7a.) Getting CUSTOM BUILT ships: During game play, hold down the "tab" key
and press a number. This works on every type of mode. To save the Custom
Ship, finish the level that you were on and then save. I like the Custom 2
and 4 ships.
7b.) Getting CUSTOM BUILT ships on 2 player mode: For player one - hold the
tab key and press a number. For player two - hold down the caps lock and
press a number. Talk about awesome!!! You cannot recharge but you can both
become invincible!
