If you have not yet healed the blind beggar in the Outskirts of Glendoe, don't go to the Guildhall." Outskirts of Glendoe "If you have your scrolls of seeing, use one to heal the blind beggar. This will allow you access to the Haunted Waterfalls from the Guildhall." The Guildhall "Don't come here until you have healed the blind beggar." Haunted Waterfalls "If you arrive from Daelon's mansion, then nothing happens. If you arrive from the Guildhall, all of your lives will be restored. If you arrive from Skylar's, you will be given the power of Tide Control and can now visit the Sea Dweller's Pavillion." Upper Pools "You will receive hints on tide control and the Crystal of Kaldar from the troglitots." Lower Pools "Don't go here." Treefolk Forest "Take the Wood Elf Staff from the Wood Elves when they offer it to you." Fairy Circle "Use a spell of seeing if you have one to make the fairies appear. Then give them the Wood Elf Staff if you have it. You can get the Wood Elf Staff from the Wood Elves in the Treefolk Forest. Don't go to the Crystal Castle until you have the Crystal of Kaldar." Crystal Castle "Use the Crystal of Kaldar to defeat the crystal tigers. You can get the Crystal of Kaldar at the Barren Rocks after you have defeated the Mist Monsters." Interior "Use the Onyx Seal to get into the room containing the Black Mace. Get the Onyx Seal from the Dunespeople Campsite in Illes after casting a spell of Understanding on them. Once in the room, take the Black Mace directly." Forester's Camp "Listen to the woman for clues. You can defeat the mist monsters at the Barren Rocks with the Cold Fire that burns on the Marsh Wastes." Huntsman's Crossroads "Norton the Huntsman will greet you with various clues." Barren Rocks "Use the Cold Fire from the Marsh Wastes to defeat the mist monsters. You can then use a spell of understanding to read the ancient runes on the rock. The path straight ahead leads back to the Ouskirts of Glendoe while the path that veers to the left will take you to the Crystal of Kaldar." Crystal of Kaldar "Do not take the crystal. Use a spell of release on the crystal first and then it will come to you. Use the Crystal of Kaldar to defeat the crystal tigers at the crystal castles and any time you come face to face with the Plague Magician." Moors "Don't go here. You will be wounded." Marsh Wastes "Use a spell of seeing to gain access to the Open Desert and Illes. Until you use the spell of seeing here, you cannot get into Illes without dying. Make sure to pick up the Cold Fire on the ground here, too. You'll need it to defeat the Mist Monsters at the Barren Rocks." Bogs on the Moors "Don't travel here unless you seek death." Daelon's Mansion "Daelon will give you spells here after a sufficient amount of time has passed. A good order to take the spells is: Seeing, Release, Understanding, and Travel. You will need the Release spell to get the Crystal of Kaldar and the Understanding Spell to get the Onyx Seal." Plague Magician "If you run into the plague magician in the forest, use the Crystal of Kaldar on him. If you don't have the Crystal yet, you will be wounded." Illes Open Desert "Don't stay here too long or you'll die. If you haven't cast a spell of seeing in the Marsh Wastes yet, you will not be able to find the path and die immediately." Desert Oasis "You will need to show the women here the Talisman Scepter. You can get the Scepter from the Temple of Cindra once Torlock's evil influence has been removed. If you show them the Talisman Scepter, they will give you the Enchanted Bow. Do not grab the Enchanted Bow." Shimmering Oasis "Don't touch the water here. It is instant death!" Temple of Cindra "Don't come here until you have the Black Mace. You can get the black mace in the Crystal Castle back in Wiegard." Left Door "This will lead to Torlock's secret hiding place. If you don't have the Black Mace yet, you will die. If you have the Black Mace, you can send Torlok out of the Temple if you use it." Front Door "If you haven't sent Torlok away from his hiding place in the Left Door of the Temple of Cindra, there will be nothing of value inside the temple. In fact, the door on the right will lead to your sacrifice. Once you have freed the Temple of Torlok's evil influence, when you leave the Temple, the priests will give you the Talisman Scepter." Dunespeople Campsite "The Dunespeople want to see the Talisman Scepter. Since you will not have it the first time you travel there, you will need to use a spell of understanding. This will get you the Onyx Seal which is used to get the Black Mace in the Crystal Castle. Do not return to the Dunespeople Campsite until you have the Talisman Scepter." Lost Mines "Here you will meet Maluki." Maluki's Hut "Maluki will offer you hints as well as restore you to full health." High Ground "Daelons will transmit an image of himself here to offer you some hints." Hills Above Desert "The bridgekeeper wants the Silver Wheat, the harvest of the argent kings. You can get the silver wheat at the Burial Ground of the Argent Kings. Unfortunately, the only way to reach the Burial Ground is to bribe Drakesblood in his Palace with the Pentacle Coins." Skylar's Temple "This is the most involved quest of the game. First, go to the Waterfalls to get Tide Control. Then go to the Sea Dweller's to get the Golden Chalice. You will then need to make a mad dash back to Drakesblood to get the Silver Wheat again for the bridgekeeper. Be wary of the manta ray on the West Sea Coast unless you have the Enchanted Bow. You may need to go around him by using the clock room escape to Daelon's Mansion in the basement of Drakesblood's Palace. Once you return the Golden Chalice to Skylar, he will give you the Hunting Horn." West Sea Coast "Watch out for the manta ray here. If you have the Enchanted Bow, you can pass without harm. If you have the Black Mace, you can pass, but you will wound yourself. Without either of those two weapons, the manta ray will kill you." Sea Dweller's Pavillion "You can only get here by using the Tide Control given to you at the Haunted Waterfalls when you are on Skylar's Quest. You access Tide Control by clicking on the Tide Control Rock in the bottom right corner of the screen. The Sea Dweller's will give you the Golden Chalice to return to Skylar." Thieves "If thieves steal your pouch, remember your current location. Then go to the Dunespeople campsite where you will be told to return to the location where your pouch was stolen. Return there to sneak up on the thieves. Use the small rock on them, not the big one." Sand Devils "If you get caught up in the sand devils, quickly use a spell of release." Plague Magician "If you bump into the Plague Magician again in Illes, you will need to defeat him with the Crystal of Kaldar. Without it, he will kill you." Iscar East Sea Coast "Daelon will once again transmit his image here and give you hints." Black Keep "You will need the Crystal of Kaldar to escape from the traps around the Black Keep." Entrance Path "Use the Crystal of Kaldar to once again defeat the Plague Magician. Otherwise, he will kill you. When you reach the top, you can defeat the lizard men with the Crystal of Kaldar or the Hunting Horn. Note that you will lose the Crystal if you use it here, though, and will not have access to it again in the game." Left Door "You can only enter this door by using the Hunting Horn. Once inside, you will need a spell of understanding to get the Runes of Iscar. This is the last piece of the puzzle you will need to defeat Drakesblood." Main Door "This is where you will get the Blood Sword that is needed to harvest the Silver Wheat." Valley of the Argent Kings "Here you will need to use the Orb of Mobus to get the Pentacle Coins. You give Drakeblood the Pentacle Coins to gain access to the Burial Grounds. You can get the Orb of Mobus by using the Enchanted Bow in the Hedge Maze." Temple Ruins "The dead sometimes return here to aid the weary traveller. This is also the exit to the Hedge Maze." Hedge Maze "Use the Enchanted Bow to find the Orb of Mobus. You will lose your Bow when you use it, however, and may wish to return to the Desert Oasis to get another one. You can find your way through the maze and get the Orb without the Bow, but it is very difficult and not recommended." Drakesblood's Palace "The wizards and inhabitants of the Palace don't consider you a threat at all and you can wander about freely." Harp Room "There are several exits here. Upstairs will lead to the Princess. The corner doorway will lead to the Clock Room, and the doorway with the crown above it will lead to the Banquet Hall." Princess' Room "The Princess will give you some advice here. The right door returns to the Harp Room. The middle door leads to the Tapestry Room and the left door with the crown above it goes to the Banquet Hall." Banquet Hall "Corrupt wizards will offer their snide remarks to you. The high door leads to the Princess, the smaller lower right door leads back to the Harp Room and the door with the crown above it leads to the Throne Room." Clock Room "This room will serve as a teleport to either the East Sea Coast or to Daelon's Chambers. Note that this is the ONLY way to leave Iscar without passing by the manta ray or using a travel spell. Tapestry Room "You can use the orb on the tapestry to get a preview of game 2, Shadoan. The door to the left of the tapestry returns to the Harp Room or to the Wizards' Chambers if your pouch has been stolen. The other door always leads back to the Harp Room." Throne Room "You can leave here alive by only two methods. You can give the Pentacle Coins to Drakesblood who will then allow you access to the Burial Ground where you can get the Silver Wheat. Or you can win the entire game, by using the Runes of Iscar and then using the Blood Sword to slay Drakesblood!" Wizards "If your things are stolen in Drakesblood's Palace by the wizards, you can find them by returning to the tapestry room and exiting the door on the left. Pull the rope when you see them sleeping." Burial Ground of the Argent Kings "Use the Blood Sword to harves the Silver Wheat. Do not just take the Silver Wheat." Unknown "Click on the EYE ICON and look at the Map Screen. Look at the various locations you can travel to. If you are in the forested or marshy areas near Glendoe, then you are in Weigard. If you are in the southern desert areas, you are in Illes. If you are in the eastern areas near the Black Keep and Drakesblood's Palace, then you are in Iscar."
