  Hold Z and press B, C-LEFT , C-UP , C-RIGHT , C-DOWN , C-UP at the
  character selection screen. A sound will confirm correct code entry.
  Then, highlight the "?" box and press R.

Fight as High Five:
  Hold Z and press C-UP, C-DOWN, C-LEFT, C-RIGHT, B, A at the character
  selection screen. A sound will confirm correct code entry. Then,
  highlight the "?" box and press R.
  Note: High Five is the right hand of Dr. Kiln.

Fight as Sumo Santa:
  Hold Z and press A, C-RIGHT, A, C-RIGHT, C-DOWN, C-UP at the character
  selection screen. A sound will confirm correct code entry. Then,
  highlight the "?" box and press R.

Alternate character color:
  Highlight a fighter at the character selection screen and press C-DOWN.

Random character:
  Press L + R at the character selection screen.
