Game walk thru and FAQ

Intro:

     There are mainly 13 levels with level 12 being split into two parts
only on medium and hard level.   You control the Shinji threw the anime
series and try to defeat the angels, including a part not in the series
or the movies in which you battle the Seele's eva series to prevent the
Sephiroth.  I will run threw the levels and explain what you need to do,
most of this game is action so I can just do a walk thru but give you
major hints on how to defeat the angels.

P.S.-this game has alot of inner mechanics movies and real voices as
well as real midi songs true to the evangelion series,if you are a
fan.......this game is a must!!!! EVA 64 by Bandai


Buttons:

   On levels 1, 02, 08, and 12 these are the bottons:

  The analog joystick moves you left and right
  "A" button-attacks (usually kicks and punches)
  "B" button-defense (usually covers you head)
  "A + B" buttons together-will let you do a major damage move-this is
very effective
  "R button and right on the analog"-will let you grab the angel
sometimes,never really used it that much
  "Down 'C'" button-brings up your at-field
  "  'Down C button and alternate with "A" button- if you press these
back and forth like a track and field
                                    mash button fest you will unleash
your at-field and keep it up,very effective also


  On level 3-buttons are:

  This one is hard to explain until you read the level.  But the analog
moves the cursor and the "Z" button will fire the gun.  (hint-this is
the level where Rei and Shinji shots the pyramid angel)

  On level 4-buttons are:

  Now you must just press alternating "A" and the  "down C" button to
run, and then you will see after the short movie you will see the lower
left hand corner with an angle on the analog joystick and a button, just
follow thoses comands and it'll take you threw the rest of the level.

On level 5-buttons are:

  Ah now this is the Dance like you want to win segment of the
Evangelion series, now even thought you only need the yellow buttons
(pattern in faq of level) don't be distracted with the screen and only
follow the commands they give you.  Yes they will show the whole dance
as you enter the buttons,but with a PaRappa style where there is only a
fraction of time to enter the commands, it's hard to keep watching and
the comands at the same time.

On level 6-buttons are:

  Ok this is the Magma Diver part:Don't be mad if you don't get this on
the first try.Buttons are as follows:

analog -moves you left and right
"Z" button-lets you lock on the serching and lock's on the angel
"A" button-opens cage-never been used to sucesfully capture the angel
but let's you move out of the way of
                         the angel's attack,a must to evade doom
"the C buttons"- after you lock on the angel and it grabs you:it will
show you some comands-do them and
                            you will kill the angel after like three
times

On level 7-buttons are:

  Ok in the first part all you have to do is push the "A" button to do
the jumps and the second part all you need to do is alternate with "A"
and the "down 'C' " button to spread at field until gage is filled.

On level 9-buttons are:

  This one is very hard:it will show you a direction and a button like
"A" or "B" this one is more on speed and skill than just entering the
comands but that is it. An Analog joystick movement and then a button
with it.

On level 10-buttons are:

Move the analog joystick to aim the Lance of Longinus but dont over
steer it or it will go out of control and aim for the middle of the
angel. once it's there they will show a quick movie and do the "A" and
the "down 'c' " button presing them bakc and forth until meter is filled
so it can break the angel's at-field.

On level 11-buttons are:

Up on the analog and "A" button-will do a downward stab-very helpful
"A" button-will side slash
"A" and the "B" button at the same time: will make you lock hands and
wrestle for control-very helpful and
                         and once you do this and the dowward slash you
must do the "A" and the "down 'c' " button
                         alternating to fill the meter to win that
struggle.




Hints on the levels:

Level 1:

     In this level you will be facing Sachiel, this first angel Shinji
incountered.  Just to give you a hint you do not need to follow the
anime series and get knocked out and go berserk.  There are ways around
that and increase your sych ratio.
     When facing any angel the one thing you must do is eliminate their
at-field as quickly as you can.  To do this you need to press the "A"
button and alternate with the "down C" button.  If you keep pressing
back and forth those two buttons you can unleash your at field and keep
it up.  One easy way to destroy the angel's at -field is to kept your
at-field up and let if walk into it and then usually the angel wil bring
their at field up.  Thus giving Shinji and Eva01 the chance to rip the
angel's at field apart.  You only have to do this once and when you do
you don't have to worry about the at field except for your own
defense,the angel will not have the at field anymore.
    After that usually press the "A" and the "B" button together to do a
major attack.

Level 3:

    When you aim and take the shot, do not do it when the angel is
firing also, it wil make you shot go wild but make sure you are locked
when you do take the shot. Fire before or after the angel shots.  Rei
will protect you only for a while if the angel shots first.

Level 5:

    Ok there is a definate pattern here when you play this level, in the
beginning after the movie select the left side to practice the moves.
They are all on the "C" buttons but I listed them all here:

In the yellow "C" buttons:

up-left-down
right-left-down
down-down-up
up-up-down
down-left-up
up-right-down
down-down-down

You must enter these in the meter inthe middle where the red is adn
within that box only.Practice more than once before starting this level
cause if you continue they won't let you practice it then.

Level 6:

Ok the magma diver part is weird.  You must scan either moving left or
right onthe analog joystick.  But keep moving in one of those direction
and stop and move back and forth. Once you see the angel(it will tell
you) hit the "Z" button to lock. Once locked on you can let it grab you,
once it does this you have to hit the comands on the yellow buttons to
beat it off of you.  This is the only way to do this so let it grab you
and don't try to capture it,but the cage button will help you evade it's
attack if you don't have a lock on it.

Level 7:

This one is easy as well. All you have to do is press the "A" buton to
jump and just do it in the four boxes in the middle of the green boxes.
The closer you are to the middle of those green boxes the bigger the
green boxes will be for the next eva. (Shinji,Rei and Asuka's). Once all
three evas made the jumps you will be Shinji's and just alternate the
"A" and the "down 'c' " button to fill the meter to spread your at field
adn then you will beat the angel.  It will tell you when you have
complete it.

Level 11:

Ok this one is a bit repetative but will get the job done. Try to grab
the eva with "A" and "B" buttons being pressed at the same time so you
can just struggle it out to punch it.Or try the up on the analog
joystick and then press "A" to do a downward stab,once you do this you
have to alternate pressing "A" and the "down 'C'  and once you over
power the eva02 you can attack it and weaken it,you have to do this like
4 times maybe 5 sometimes.


Level 12:

The first part is on all three difficulties:you just stomp and attack
the Seele's planes.You will not receive damage at all,try pressing "A"
and "B" when you grab a plane. Asuka will smash it with another plane.

Now this part is only on the medium and hard level.Level 12.5

You are Asuka and must face all 9 Seele's eva series.  You should only
do the "A" and the "B" attacks to quickly kill the evas,note:you don't
have the power cord and only have like 3:00 minutes to kill nine so do
it quick before you power battery runs out.

Level 13:

The level is only on the hard level,you are Shinji in Eva 01 in the
space against the Eva series and you must kill them all.  I fyou notice
you can move forward faster then moving backwards so just move alittle
in and let the white eva swing their weapon and then move in fast to
attack the eva and split it's guts open.

When you beat the game on easy it will open:

All voices,music, and sound effects.

When you beat it on medium:

The digital of the charcters-so you can move them and look at them

When you beat the game on hard:

You will be able to select all levels to play on and it will open the
movie section in which it shows all the special attacks you did.  The
shade ones are the attacks you didn't do and can't watch them unless you
play that level and do them.
